A new beginning
Before the first vote, there is one fixed truth: Adam has one life, AI sustains his world, and humanity alone controls his important choices.
Adam Walker is 25 and lives in Manchester. He is not a hero, a simulation that knows it is being watched, or a character with a planned ending. He has an ordinary job, debt, relationships, habits, private thoughts and a future that has not been written.
From this moment, an AI maintains the world around him: time passes, people remember, money is spent, opportunities appear, mistakes leave traces and consequences can return months or years later. The AI may create circumstances, but it is forbidden to make Adam's important choices.
Those choices belong to humanity. When Adam reaches a meaningful fork, the world votes. The winning choice becomes the only canon. There is no alternate timeline and no reset. Adam will live with what people decide, even when the result is inconvenient, painful, ordinary or unexpectedly beautiful.
Adam does not know that billions of people may one day shape his life. For him, this is simply Day 0.
